Program Description

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer media training for Maine farms interested in learning how to respond to media requests and to welcome visitors to their farming operation.  It will also  be useful for farms wishing to be hosts for the 30th Anniversary of Maine Open Farm Day. Participants will receive hands on training on:

  • How to Tell Your Farm’s Story
  • Working with the Media
  • Social Media Best Practices
  • Crisis Reponse

Location: KVCC’s Harold Alfond Campus

From I-95 North or South: Take Exit 133, Skowhegan/Fairfield (US-201). Merge onto US-201 N/Skowhegan Road. KVCC’s Harold Alfond Campus is approximately 6.6 miles on the left.  The event will be held in “The Barn” meeting room on the Price Rd. Follow the signs.
