 STEM Parachute Challenge

Date: Wednesday, June 2nd

Time: 4:30 PM via ZOOM

Use your creativity and engineering skills to design and build a Parachute! We will compare this to a hot air balloon and explore how they are similar, yet each unique, or even opposite.
This activity is designed for school-aged youth in grades K-3. Younger children may need help with cutting and tying. Register by May 31st.
You will need to gather these materials before the workshop:
Plastic shopping bag (a medium weight garbage bag would also work)
Lightweight string (several 4-10 inch pieces)
Tape (plastic, masking, painters, most any type will work)
Small toy figure or stuffed animal (2 or 3 inches, not too heavy)
Hole punch
Scissors

We hope you will make plans to join us!
