Making Headlines: Spring Arriving Earlier

A recent article by the Washington Post highlighted data collected through the USA National Phenology Network. The trends captured within the data demonstrate that the onset of spring (first leaf date) is occurring earlier for most of the US. It also shows that a large part of the US has experienced higher than average spring temperatures within the past seven years.

This is a great example of a high-level view of the data that you contribute to as a SOS volunteer!
