Learn to protect yourself and the people you feed. \nWhat you will learn\nLearn up-to-date methods for safely preparing\, handling\, and serving food for large group functions such as soup kitchens\, church functions\, food pantries\, and community fundraisers. \nWorkshops cover the following food safety guidelines: \n\nPlanning and Purchasing\nStoring Food Supplies\nPreparing Food\nTransporting\, Storing and Serving Cooked Foods\nHandling Leftovers\n\nParticipants receive:\n\nCooking for Crowds – A manual specifically designed for volunteer cooks;\nCertificate of Attendance;\nPosters; and\nInstant Read Thermometer.\n\nContact\n\nKathy Savoie at email ksavoie@maine.edu.\n\n\nIf reasonable accommodation is needed\, please contact Renée Whiting\, renee.whiting@maine.edu\, or 207-581-8364 by October 19\, 2026.
