SUMMARY:Washington County 4-H Public Speaking Tournament
DESCRIPTION:4-H members will have the opportunity to present either a demonstration or an illustrated talk. In a 4-H demonstration\, the youth shows how to do something while telling how it’s done. In a 4-H illustrated talk\, the youth gives information about a subject and uses visuals to explain the subject. \nAll youth in the junior and senior divisions (ages 9 to 18 in 4-H years) participating in this tournament who receive an average score of 78 or higher\, are invited to compete at the Maine State 4-H Public Speaking Tournament to be held in Orono on April 6\, 2019. \nThe general public is invited to attend.

DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Maine Extension Homemakers is strengthening and extending adult education into the home and community.
