DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Maine Extension Homemakers is strengthening and extending adult education into the home and community. The goal of Maine Extension Homemakers is to develop leadership\, promote the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s educational programs in all parts of Maine\, and to support worthy community causes. \nMeetings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noted.  Meetings will be held at the Fellowship Hall in Whitneyville (207.255.8640) and will begin at 10:00 a.m. \nThe tour of the court house will be given by County Manager Betsy Fitzgerald. \nPlease contact Alan Majka\, 207.255.3345 or email alan. @maine.edu if you are interested in the Washington County Extension Homemakers.

SUMMARY:Cooking Matters for Parents in Machias
DESCRIPTION:University of Maine Cooperative Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Programs are free to income-eligible adults with children and who are eligible for programs such as SNAP\, WIC\, or HeadStart. \nCooking Matters offers hands-on lessons covering meal preparation\, grocery shopping\, food budgeting\, and nutrition.
