{"id":2224,"date":"2013-08-01T14:28:30","date_gmt":"2013-08-01T18:28:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/washington\/?p=2224"},"modified":"2013-08-01T14:28:30","modified_gmt":"2013-08-01T18:28:30","slug":"master-gardener-volunteer-training-to-be-offered-in-machias-beginning-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/washington\/2013\/08\/01\/master-gardener-volunteer-training-to-be-offered-in-machias-beginning-in-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Master Gardener Volunteer Training to be Offered in Machias beginning in September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering a six week Master Gardener Volunteer training beginning on September 10 at the Extension office in Machias.\u00a0\u00a0 This course provides intensive instruction in horticulture and volunteerism.\u00a0 The course will focus on ecological landscaping with ornamental plants.\u00a0 It will not cover vegetable and fruit production.\u00a0 It is open to anyone with enthusiasm for gardening and volunteering.\u00a0 In exchange for the training, participants are required to volunteer their time and expertise in gardening related community projects.
