Important Information and Deadlines

Animal Approval Forms: Required for all livestock except rabbits/cavies and poultry. This form is due in the Extension Office by June 30th. We will emboss a copy of the form you send us and send it back to you to present to fairs.

Acton Fair Livestock Entry Forms: Required for ALL livestock entries. You must submit your Livestock Entry Form to the Acton Fair livestock superintendent by August 1st. This is a hard deadline. The mailing address is listed on the form.

MALE Liability Insurance: A minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance is required for all livestock exhibitors. You must present a signed and embossed UMaine Cooperative Extension Animal Approval Form (rabbits/cavies & poultry exempt) and a copy of your insurance when you arrive on the fairgrounds with your animals. Keep these documents with you while at the fair.

Project Records: 4-H members ages 9 and up are highly encouraged to complete the goals section of their project records and present it when submitting their entries to the 4-H Livestock shows. Youth ages 9-18 can use the form found on the Maine 4-H Project Records: Required webpage.


Please note that all livestock being show at the 4-H shows must remain on the Acton Fairgrounds for the duration of the fair. This is a rule that Acton Fair created and enforces. You can find more information on the Acton Fair website, and the premium book when it becomes available.
