2022 York County 4-H Important Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n

January 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Referred to as your \u201c4-H age,\u201d your age on December 31 is the age you will be for the entire 4-H year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

January 2, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Independent members only: Progress report due to the Extension Office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

February 1, 2022: <\/strong>\u00a0Eastern States Dairy, Dog, Goat, Horse, and Sheep Intent to Participate at Eastern States forms due. Date subject to change!<\/span><\/p>\n

February 25, 2022:<\/strong>\u00a0 York County 4-H Public Speaking Workshop<\/a>, 1-2pm<\/p>\n

March 1, 2022: <\/strong>\u00a0Maine 4-H Foundation Scholarship<\/a> applications due to the York County Extension Office. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 1st.<\/span><\/p>\n

March 2022:\u00a0 <\/strong>CWF application deadline<\/span><\/p>\n

March 12, 2022:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> York County 4-H Public Speaking Tournament<\/a>, 10am – 12pm\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

March 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> National 4-H Conference trip to Washington, D.C.<\/span><\/p>\n

April 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Deadline for new member enrollments<\/b>. Any youth not previously enrolled in 4-H has until April 1st to submit completed enrollment forms in order to participate in fairs and statewide events (not including National 4-H trips).<\/span><\/p>\n

April 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Independent members only: Progress report due to the Extension Office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

April 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Eastern States Horse Animal Approval Form<\/a> and Lease Form<\/a> due in county office. Always bring the York County 4-H embossed paper copies of your approval forms with you to the fair if you are showing animals<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

April 9, 2022:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> Maine State 4-H Public Speaking Tournament<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> \u201cIntent to sell\u201d Market Lamb forms due in the York County Extension <\/span>Office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May 1, 2022:\u00a0 <\/strong>Eastern States Dairy and Working Steer\u00a0Animal Approval Form<\/a> and Lease Form<\/a> due in the Extension office. Always bring the York County 4-H embossed paper copies of your approval forms with you to the fair if you are showing animals<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

May 14, 2022:<\/strong>\u00a0 York County 4-H Fashion Revue<\/p>\n

May 15, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Betty Syvinsky scholarship application due (email or post) in the York County Extension office. Must be post-marked May 15th.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May 2022:<\/strong> \u00a04-H at UMaine program for 4-H members ages 12 – 17.<\/span><\/p>\n

June 30, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Animal Approval Form<\/a> and Lease Form<\/a>\u00a0are due in the Extension office for Beef, Dairy, Dog, Goat, and Sheep. Always bring the York County 4-H embossed paper copies of your approval forms with you to the fair if you are showing animals<\/em>. <\/span>No Approval form is needed for rabbits\/cavies and chickens.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

June 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Entry forms are due to Ossipee Valley Fair.\u00a0 Be sure to get a camping spot if needed. Check fair website for specific dates.\u00a0 Bring certified embossed approval forms with you if showing animals.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

June\/July 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Citizenship Washington Focus trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

July 1, 2022:\u00a0 <\/strong>Independent members only: Progress report due to the Extension Office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

July 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Ossipee Valley Fair in South Hiram.<\/span><\/p>\n

August 1, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Livestock entry forms for Acton Fair due (see Premium book for where to send)<\/span><\/p>\n

August 25-28, 2022:\u00a0<\/strong> Acton Fair<\/span><\/p>\n

Sept 16-Oct 2, 2022:<\/strong> \u00a0Eastern States \u201cThe Big E\u201d Fair<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
