A Gathering Focused on <\/span>Nature Discovering, Nature Note-booking and Nourishing Relationships\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201cNever be within doors when you can rightly be without\u201d-Charlotte Mason<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

What:<\/strong> A small weekly outside gathering of families (parents included). Our time will start with group gatherings, poetry, read aloud and discussion. We will then hike the trail (just under 2 miles), stopping along the way to chat about nature. This session will be about mammals: squirrels (week 1), beavers (week 2), porcupines (week 3), chipmunks (week 4). We will end with a time of nature journaling, focusing specifically on watercolor technique. We will be watercoloring a provided sketch on watercolor paper and kids can bring them home and add them to their nature journals later. Sessions are weather dependent, although we will generally meet no matter the weather, unless conditions are dangerous.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who:<\/strong> Designed for curious nature enthusiasts ages 5 to 18. Enrolled 4-Hers will be offered registration prior to the general public. Space is limited to 20 youth and their families. The first 5 families to register after the 20 slots have been filled will be added to a wait list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where:<\/strong> Negutaquit, North Berwick for hiking and North Berwick Rec Pavillion for painting. The Rec Pavillion is a short drive from the hiking trail.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

When:<\/strong>\u00a0 Thursdays<\/em><\/strong> in October\/November 1:00PM*\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

October 27th |<\/strong> <\/span>November 3rd |<\/strong> November 10th | <\/strong><\/span>November 17th<\/span><\/p>\n

NOTE: <\/em><\/span>Space is limited. Families are encouraged to look at their calendar to ensure they are available to attend all four session. If you are not able to consistently attend this month, please leave the slot open for a family who is able.\u00a0 There will be more opportunities next month!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

*We realize that 1PM during the school day will not work for families who are not homeschooled. Additional workshop series on various topics will be offered on weekends in the near future.<\/em><\/p>\n
