Are you interested in meeting other 4-H youth from across the country? Are you interested in developing your leadership skills and learning valuable ways to help your community? Then you might also be interested in attending the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, GA or the National 4-H Conference in Chevy Chase, MD! These trips are great opportunities for a select group of 4-H youth to engage in the wider 4-H community and lend their voice to the discussion of 4-H programming and positive youth development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The deadline to submit the application packet to the York County office is March 20th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">For more information about the Congress and Conference, application procedures and costs, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/national-trips\/\"><span class=\"s2\">https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/national-trips\/<\/span><\/a> or contact the York County Extension office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Public Speaking Tournament<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">The annual York County public speaking tournament will be held on March 14th in the Downs Conference Room (across the hall from the York County Extension office) from 9am until noon. Please review the guidelines here:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/public-speaking\/\"><span class=\"s2\">https:\/\/extension.umaine.edu\/4h\/public-speaking\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">Let us know what type of presentation you\u2019re planning to give, the title of your presentation, and whether it will be an individual or group presentation. At the January meeting, Anna and Wanda Kezar led a scrapbooking workshop and club members started working on their One-theme exhibit for the Acton Fair.
