University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering an eight-session introduction to beekeeping course from 10 a.m. – Noon every Saturday from Feb. 8 – March 29 in Room 102 of the University of Maine at Machias’ Science Building, 116 O’Brien Ave. Led by master beekeeper Andrew Dewey, the course will cover a wide range of topics, including basic bee biology, hive construction and location, seasonal management and honey production. read more
