Stephanie is charged with managing and operating the Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab (PDDL) and its related tasks, serving high-quality diagnostic services to both home gardeners and commercial growers within the community and nation-wide. The PPDL is a member of the National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN) and serves as the Regional Center lab for the Northeast Plant Diagnostic Network (NEPDN). Therefore, Stephanie also serves as the Associate Director of the NEPDN, coordinating 13 diagnostic labs across 12 states. She is responsible for developing/implementing a molecular testing program, conducting plant pathogen research, and disseminating knowledge gleaned from diagnostics and research. Furthermore, Stephanie will provide the leadership, support, and oversight needed to develop, implement, and monitor/assess the Core Accreditation Program for the NPDN, which comprises 70 diagnostic labs in the United States and its Territories.
