For more than 100 years University of Maine Cooperative Extension has provided Mainers with practical, research-based information that meets local needs. In these times of limited public funding, you can help us keep pace with Maine’s changing landscape and increasing demands for education.
You can invest in Maine’s future by making a gift to University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Your investment will help strengthen Maine communities and economies, sustain our agricultural and natural resources, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourage capable, empowered youth.
Online giving opportunities:

UMaine Extension gives local residents access to the resources and expertise of the University of Maine. Through educational programs, workshops, events, and publications, we deliver unbiased, research-based information to County citizens. Your support will extend our ability to help youth, adults, and communities reach their full potential. We thank you for your contribution!
- University of Maine Cooperative Extension Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab
- Maine 4-H Foundation
The Maine 4-H Foundation helps support University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H programs. Foundation funds help Maine 4-H’ers participate in national 4-H trips such as Citizenship Washington Focus, Conference, and Congress; aid UMaine Extension staff as they attempt to expand and strengthen the Maine 4-H program in their counties; and provide grants and scholarships to clubs and individual Maine 4-H members as they better themselves and their communities through “learning by doing.” Every dollar we receive from donors goes directly to Maine youths participating in the 4-H program. The foresight of the Maine 4-H Foundation founders enables us to use interest income to cover operational costs. Therefore, when you generously give to our Annual Fund through this website (or any other means), you can be confident your gift has a direct impact on the young people of Maine.
