Safe Solutions for Garden Pests and Disease Problems workshop

Marjorie Peronto of Maine Cooperative Extension will lead this free workshop

Ellsworth—With the growing season right around the corner, preparing for an abundant and healthy garden is on our minds. On Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am, Marjorie Peronto, of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Service will lead a healthy gardening program at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center in Ellsworth.

She will demonstrate ways to grow a robust vegetable and flower garden without using pesticides. She will share ways to protect your health and the environment with garden management practices such as building healthy soil, rotating your crops, identifying insects, learning their life cycles, and encouraging biodiversity in your garden.
