Introduction to Pruning Landscape Trees, Flowering Shrubs and Small Fruits
We are offering a 2-part Pruning Workshop geared toward the backyard gardener as well as those working in a related field.
Day 1 – Thursday, March 14th – 9 am-Noon
Topic: Essentials of pruning, practice pruning small landscape trees
Day 2 – Thursday, March 21st – 9 am-Noon
Topic: Pruning flowering shrubs, highbush blueberries and raspberries.

What to Bring
On each of the two days, we’ll be spending part of the session outside pruning. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a thermos of something hot to drink.
Tools needed for the course:
- 1 pair hand pruners
- 1 pruning saw (7” – 13” blade)
- 1 pair loppers
- safety glasses and gloves
If you are going to purchase new tools and don’t know what kind to buy or where to get them, wait until after the first class.
