Saint Dunstan’s Creation Garden, Ellsworth

St Dunstan's Garden

This is a public demonstration garden on the grounds of Saint Dunstan’s Church on State Street.  Its purpose is to promote biodiversity by providing habitat for a wide variety of insects and other wildlife, using native plantings and other functional ornamentals.  Members of the public, including school groups and families, may use this garden to learn why the native plantings are so important to our native pollinators who risk extinction by the introduction of nonfunctional ornamental plants in our garden centers.  Master Gardener Volunteers will plant, cultivate, irrigate, weed, and lead tours of the gardens.  Meeting time is flexible, and we generally work 4 hours per week during the growing season.
