Bee Chim is an Assistant Extension Professor at UMaine Cooperative Extension. Bee is responsible for helping Maine growers to address high-priority production issues for agronomic crops including potatoes, grain, and rotation crops. She is also responsible for developing an active applied research program that meets the needs of the growers. Bee is based in Aroostook County, Presque Isle Office, as an Extension Crop Specialist and Agronomist; however, she has statewide responsibilities. Her areas of focus are potatoes, nutrient management, soil fertility, crop water management, precision agriculture, cover crops, and alternative crops. She has a 90/10 split appointment between UMaine Cooperative Extension and teaching at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) in the Agricultural Science and Agribusiness Program.
