This UMaine Science Café will feature the youth representatives from the Maine Climate Council. The Maine Climate Council was created by legislators last year and put in charge of creating a climate action plan for Maine. This plan will feature strategies that focus on transportation, buildings and infrastructure, energy, coastal and marine issues, natural working lands, and community resilience, public health, and emergency management. The youth representatives ensure that Maine’s youth have a voice in the plan. In this session you will be able to hear about the experiences of the youth representatives and learn about how you can take action in your community to help combat climate change. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. We hope you’ll join us!
