Carrick is working in a joint position with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and UMaine Extension. He provides technical support and programming for farmers, gardeners, and landowners to improve the protection of vulnerable natural resources in urbanized areas. His programming has focused on topics such as urban soil health, growing under tunnels, season extension, and improving pollinator habitat in urban parks.
