Extension and MOFGA offer home food preservation workshops at Fork Food Lab
South Portland, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension, in partnership with Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), will offer two workshops on preserving Maine foods on October 7 and 30 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Fork Food Lab, 97 Darling Avenue, South Portland.
“Preserving the Harvest” workshop topics include canning fruit jam, pepper jelly and apples. Extension professional Kate McCarty will lead the workshop; fresh produce and canning jars will be provided.
