Andrew Hudacs is the Assistant Extension Professor for Statewide 4-H Teen Leadership and Workforce Development at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. His service and outreach initiatives are centered on improving opportunities for Maine teens to enhance their life skills and achieve their fullest potential. His research interests include pre-college factors related to college persistence, education and workforce development, education policy leadership, rural education, and preparation for college and careers through a diversity of learning experiences.
He has more than 25 years working in education and youth development as a practitioner, administrator, and researcher. The scope of his statewide 4-H programming ranges from maple woodlands agriculture to civic engagement through teen leadership opportunities.
