Dr. Sidhu is an Assistant Extension Professor and Ornamental Horticulture Specialist at University of Maine Cooperative Extension. In her role, she focuses on developing educational programs, providing specialized support, and conducting applied research programs that cater to the state-wide needs of ornamental crop production in Maine. Her position emphasizes the needs of Maine’s green industry that includes floriculture, nurseries, arboriculture, greenhouse production and clients involved in consumer horticulture.

Prior to joining UMaine, she was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Michigan State University. Her areas of specialization includes horticultural crop production and weed management. Her research at Michigan State was focused on developing integrated weed management strategies for containerized production in nurseries and greenhouses in the Midwest regions of the United States.

Outside work, she enjoys music, traveling and engaging in indoor and outdoor aesthetics.
