Peyton Ginakes is a fruit and vegetable research associate based at UMaine’s Highmoor Farm in Monmouth. She conducts applied research to address knowledge gaps in specialty crop production for Maine farmers. Some of her ongoing research includes evaluating cold hardiness in peach trees, exploring sustainable soil management practices for diversified vegetable operations, and carrying out a multitude of vegetable crop trials to identify promising varieties and cultural practices.
