fatih.evrendilek@maine.edu
Dr. Fatih Evrendilek is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in PFAS Predictive Modeling with expertise in environmental science, spatiotemporal modeling, and artificial intelligence. He develops advanced data-driven and process-based models to quantify the transport and fate dynamics of pollutants (e.g., PFAS, metals, and microplastics) as well as greenhouse gases and biogeochemical cycles. His research informs sustainable management decisions for socio-ecological systems over varying space-time scales. Previously, he served as a Founding Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Engineering (BAIBU, Turkiye), where he lectured in analytical and systems thinking at (under)graduate levels and mentored more than 10 graduate (MSc & PhD) students. Dr. Evrendilek has collaborated on over 20 international research projects in computational sustainability as a Principal or Co-Investigator and has served as an independent expert reviewer for international grant applications. He is a prolific author of more than 200 high-impact scientific publications and ranks among the most cited faculty (h-index = 56) at the University of Maine.
