The mission of the Gardens at Tidewater Farm is to provide agricultural and horticultural educational opportunities to the community utilizing research-based, environmentally friendly and sustainable gardening practices.

Tidewater Farm is a public garden site that features several areas, such as the Cottage Garden, Children’s Garden and Meadow, Maine Harvest for Hunger Plots, All-American Selections, Gathering Circle and Herb Garden, and Market Garden. Master Gardener Volunteers help maintain the gardens, grow food for donation, plan outreach and educational efforts, and lead garden tours and field trips.
