Join Hancock County 4-H for Annual Jamboree Celebration!
Join the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Hancock County as we celebrate our annual 4-H June Jamboree! This year, Jamboree will span from June 5th through July 11th and will feature at-home activities and in-person workshops for youth.
4-H June Jamboree is an annual event hosted by Hancock County 4-H. It is open to ALL 4-H members, friends, and family in Hancock and neighboring counties: you do not have to be a 4-H member to participate. Typically, June Jamboree features a weekend of hands-on workshops at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds during the first weekend in June, with overnight camping available. In 2021, we’re celebrating June Jamboree a little differently! Youth can participate in up to eleven at-home activities delivered to their doorstep, or they can participate in an outdoor, in-person workshop. This year, workshops and activities will relate to the theme, Full STEAM Ahead! (STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering & Environment, Art, and Mathematics.) Collaborating organizations include: the Ellsworth Public Library, Blue Hill Heritage Trust, Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Lone Spruce Farm, and ArtWaves.
All workshops and activities are free, but registration is required. Registration is open from May 5th through May 30th.
