Free Classes to Help You Save Money on Food

This is a 2 part class. Attendees encouraged to attend both February 4 and 6. Class will include cooking demonstration and taste testing

University of Maine Cooperative Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program is free to income eligible adults with children and if you are eligible for programs such as SNAP, WIC, or Head Start.
In this class you will learn to:
• Plan meals and snacks to save money and time
• Compare food prices to save money and prevent running out of food before the end of the month
• Identify key parts of the Nutrition Facts Label
• Use unit pricing to find the best buy between two foods
