Please join us at the Climate Cafe! MOFGA will be hosting a series of gatherings with the purpose of inviting farmers and farmworkers to connect over climate concerns, share adaptation strategies and strengthen our networks of support. Discussion will be informal and spontaneous, guided by participants’ interests and with peer to peer connections at the core. MOFGA will be sharing climate adaptation resources as well as collecting feedback about farmer and farmworker needs relating to this topic.
We will be bringing this event around the state in coming months, with the inaugural gathering to be held in Unity at the Common Ground Education Center on January 29th at 5 p.m. Our second cafe will be held at the Hive, a fully insulated and heated timber frame event space at Dandelion Spring Farm on February 20th (snow date February 27th) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Food and childcare (as location permits) will be provided. If you have interest in hosting a Climate Cafe or know of a community center where you’d like to see this event held, please get in touch at mmitchell@mofga.org. To attend, please register on the Climate Cafe RSVP page.
