Stevenson’s Strawberry Farm

Stevenson’s Strawberry Farm will be hosting the Maine Vegetable and Small Fruit Growers Association (MVSFGA) twilight meeting this year. They grow around 16 acres of June-bearing strawberries in rotation, 1 acre of day neutral strawberries, 5 acres of peas, 1 acre of cantaloupes and watermelons, and some pumpkins and hard squash. They grow about 50 acres of winter rye. They water most of their crops using drip or overhead with fixed pipes. Their major market is pick your own and also supply three seasonal farm stands. Farmer Tom Stevenson will be leading the tour. New and experienced farmers welcome! Come meet other farmers and ag service providers.
