Cooperative Extension: New Farmers

Come join farmers Dan Cunningham and Lizzie Meier at Folklore Farm in Cherryfield for a discussion on the ways in which their farm supports access to local food to all income levels, especially in a rural area. Folklore Farm partners with the Maine Seacoast Mission’s Downeast Campus Food Pantry, Mainers Feeding Mainers, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine to prioritize food distribution to low income community members. The farm’s collaboration with the Mission enables distribution to take place at local schools, summer camps, the Mission’s food pantry, and right to some community member’s residences.
