4-H Maple Sugaring 101

4-H Maple Sugaring will begin in February. The online meetings with the members from Piscataquis, Penobscot, Waldo, and Somerset Counties, followed by hands-on experience in our county.
There will be 3 online meetings:
6:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 22,
6:00 pm Wednesday, March 1
6:00 pm Wednesday, March 8.
The hands-on meeting days will depend on the weather and when the sap is running. In-person meetings will be at Bobs Sugar House on:
February 25th
March 4th
March 11.
Youth will learn about tapping maple trees, gathering sap, boiling and bottling the finished syrup, and marketing the finished product.
