Moonlight Camping – Multi-media
“In the summertime, I enjoy camping with my family. The piece I created has an orange tent, green moss, trees and a moon. It also has mountains and stars in the background. I used an old sweatshirt for the tent, small twigs for trees and real moss for the ground. I also used birch bark for the moon and some paint for the background. The tools I used include a paint brush and a hot glue gun. It took about a week to make, and I enjoyed the process. I was inspired by other people doing pieces similar to this.
I wanted to do this piece because I always like painting. I added a 3D aspect to this painting by adding the moss, twigs, and birch bark. I used my head to think of the materials that I would need; like birch bark to represent the moon. My heart was used by my love for the outdoors. I used my hands to create this piece. The fourth ‘H’ represents health. To maintain my mental health, I took a moment out of my day to relax and create this piece.” – Meghan K

Pinwheel – Paper
“I made this with paper, scissors, a brand new pencil (with an eraser) and tacks. I got a piece of paper, folded it into a triangle and I used the scissors to cut the triangle. Then I drew a circle exactly in the middle. Then I cut all the way to the circle. Then I took every other end and folded it in to the middle then stuck the tack through onto the pencil eraser.” – Audra L.

LOVE in cross-stitch
“I cross stitched this. I used a pattern for some of it and did some of it on my own. I threaded the needle and followed the pattern until I wanted to do it on my own. It took me a long time. I painted the frame and I stuck the cross stitch piece in. Then my mom had to help hammer the back part in. I sent to my grampy with letters from my siblings.” – Audra L.

Dodge Ram in Pencil
“This is Dodge Ram. I’m working on drawing jeeps, trucks and SUVs from different angles. I’m going to try doing it from the top next.” – Adrian L.
