York County Farmers’ Network

Connecting Farmers. Growing Community. Building Resilience.

York County is home to a vibrant mix of farms—from small specialty growers to multi-generation family operations.

The York County Farmers Network (YCFN) was brought back to life to support this community, foster connection, and help local agriculture thrive well into the future.

In recent years, York County farms have embraced agritourism and direct-to-consumer markets, contributing to Maine’s $172 million in direct farm sales. But as farming evolves, so do the challenges—like preparing for change in long term weather patterns, navigating labor and finances, and planning for the next generation.

That’s where YCFN comes in.

Most importantly, we build a community!

We host monthly workshops and networking events that bring farmers together to learn, share, and grow. Topics we’ve covered include:

Agritourism & diversification

Soil health & climate-smart practices

Farm succession & business planning

Grants, financing & bookkeeping

Hiring & labor management strategies

And many more based on the needs determined by the YCFN members

Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just starting out, our goal is to give you the tools and community support you need to succeed.
