Field Day at UMaine Extension’s Tidewater Farm scheduled for August 17

Falmouth, Maine —  University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a Field Day on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at UMaine Gardens at Tidewater Farm, 200 Presumpscot Point Road, Falmouth.

The event features family-friendly activities with UMaine Extension staff and Master Gardener Volunteers. Attendees can learn about Extension’s work, ask gardening questions and participate in hands-on demonstrations beginning at 10:30 a.m. No registration required.

Hands-on demonstrations will focus on cultivation practices to maintain a garden that is healthy, productive and looking fresh during the transition from late summer into fall. Participants will also take home a bouquet of blooms from Tidewater Farm’s market garden.
