Come join the Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties 4-H program at their monthly workshops – the Third Friday of every month (unless otherwise noted) from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Lisbon Extension Office at 24 Main Street. Apples! – We will be making homemade applesauce using locally sourced apples. Youth participants will take home one container of applesauce.

Card Making – Learn to make a specific design using stamps and decorative papers. You can also make up your own design. Participants will go home with at least two cards.

Short Film Making – Looking for a creative way to share your story? In this workshop, youth will learn how to use digital storytelling to create their own short film to tell a story of their choosing and then be invited to show their short film at the Movie Premiere in April!

Spa & Relaxation Science – “Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens,” (University of California, Berkeley). This workshop will help with that by teaching participants to make their own relaxation/spa items and learn some fun science as well!

Wool Spinning Workshop – Learn the basics of spinning at this fun workshop designed just for kids. Youth participants will play with drop spindles, wool, and a spinning wheel to see how wool yarn is created.
