Open to all youth ages 9 – 11

This 6-lesson series includes information about nutrition, exercise, and a hands-on cooking experience. Lessons include: learning how to make healthier choices with your hydration; coloring your plate (eating more vegetables and fruit); read it before you eat it (learning how to understand nutritional labels); make half your grains whole (the benefit of eating whole grains); healthier food – fast (how to eat less unhealthy food); and power up your day (the importance of eating breakfast). You’ll learn a ton of new recipes and hopefully a new way of looking at the food you eat. A list of food and cooking tools needed for each lesson will be provided before the classes begin.
