Workshop on getting big yields from small plots will be held at UMaine Extension in Falmouth

Falmouth, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a workshop on big yields on small plots on Wednesday, June 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the UMaine Gardens at Tidewater Farm in Falmouth. Learn more on the Gardens at Tidewater Farm page.

This hands-on workshop will focus on gardening in small spaces and how to make the most of every square foot. Topics include techniques such as trellising, dense planting and extending the growing season into the fall. Participants will get hands-on practice setting up a trellis and leave with practical strategies to grow more food for themselves, their families and their communities.
