Join University of Maine Cooperative Extension for a hands-on wreath-making workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cumberland County Extension Office in Falmouth.
Master Gardener Volunteer Kathy Tarpo will guide participants through the basics of making a traditional balsam fir wreath using locally harvested greenery and natural decorations.
Participants will assemble their own holiday wreath using a single-faced 10-inch easy-clamp ring, creating a finished wreath up to 22 inches in diameter.
Participants are encouraged to bring hand pruners, if available, along with natural decorations such as pine cones and winterberry branches to personalize their wreaths. Please do not bring invasive plant material.
The workshop is designed for adults. Registration is required, and the cost is $35 per participant. No refunds are available. Registration closes Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026.
If reasonable accommodation is needed, please contact Pamela Hargest at 207.949.4524 or pamela.hargest@maine.edu by Nov. 19, 2026.
