Will fall-planted winter rye be sufficient or is another nitrogen source needed?

Question:

Per our garden soil sample results, we are to apply a nitrogen source this spring. We will be digging in the fall-planted winter rye as soon as able. Will that suffice or is another nitrogen source needed? If so is there a preference?

Although cover crops can provide a fair amount of nitrogen, it also depends on what the recommended rate was based on your soil test. Do you have the soil test results in the form of an email that you could share with me? Or if you can tell me when the test was done and what name it was under, I can get a copy from the lab at UMaine and do a little research.
