Please take a look at this response from Ask Extension, which references a nice article on the plant from the Ohio State Univ Extension. You’ll see options for chemical control in the first link–if you have concerns about using pesticides near your well, the other tactics are either smothering the celandine with a thick layer of mulch (which will unfortunately also kill off the nearby grass) or careful physical removal of the plants (which may not be feasible for the whole yard, but could be in the area near the water source).
