In 2020, in the midst of the COVID crisis, more than 50 volunteers helped Kittery Land Trust manage a hugely successful “Giving Garden” on one of the fields at Nooney Farm, growing nearly 2000 pounds of fresh produce for the Kittery school lunch program, Footprints Food Pantry, and other local food shelters.

Since then, with the help of many volunteers, the Giving Garden has grown! Last year donating 7,500 pounds of fresh produce. With your help this year’s crop will yield even more.

Kittery Land Trust has a big vision for the many ways in which Nooney Farm will be used and enjoyed by the community. It includes growing healthy local food year-round, creating a center for nature-based learning and outdoor recreation, getting students involved in growing food for school cafeterias, producing electricity through a community solar installation, holding events and workshops in the barn.
