Call the Doctor: Climate Change Will Impact Human Health
Talk of increasing carbon emissions doesn’t seem to be producing much progress combating climate change. Some are hoping that a shift in the conversation, to address human health issues, will have greater impact. An update to “Death by Degrees: the Health Crisis of Climate Change in Maine” will be sent to each Maine legislator from the Maine Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility. In addition to describing current adverse health effects, the report provides suggestions for actions that the state can take to reduce negative impacts on our planet and provide for healthy communities.
