Resilient Sugarbush Management

Are you interested in learning more about maple tree growth, stressors, and how to improve the health and resilience of a sugarbush?

The Resilience Sugarbush Management level 1 learning experience is geared towards sugarbush managers, consulting foresters, and those looking to learn more about sugarbush management. Level 1 covers maple physiology, regeneration, and stressors, including insects and diseases, as well as climate data and the potential impacts of climate change on sugarbushes. We will also discuss best practices in tapping and the impact that technology has had on the industry over the past half-century.

The full series will guide learners through:

  1. the foundations of tree function and health
  2. assessing site-specific risks, and
  3. developing action plans for resilience.
