Cooperative Extension: New Farmers

Join UMaine Extension’s Jason Lilley for an in-person discussion on how to choose the right equipment for your farm operation. Selecting the right size and type of equipment for your farming operation can be daunting. At this discussion-based workshop, we’ll highlight key considerations when choosing equipment. We will focus on appropriate sizing for the scale of your operation, considerations related to the age and wear of equipment, and safety considerations. Participants will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of hand tools, walk-behind tractor implements, and small to mid-sized tractor implements.
