Winter Care of Poultry Workshop, September 20, 2018

Prospective and beginning small-scale meat and egg producers will gain a general understanding of what it takes to have poultry and how to prepare for winter care. Poultry breeds, housing, health, and nutrition for small-scale meat and egg producers will be discussed.
Demonstration of various waterers and lighting options will be shown, as well as ideas for DIY equipment.
This is a free program, but pre-registration is required.

An optional course book “Storey’s Guide to Raising Chickens,” can be ordered for $20 before the meeting.
