Join Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District and University of Maine Cooperative Extension for an in-person pruning workshop that blends an indoor overview of best practices with outdoor, hands-on learning in a small-group setting.
What to Expect
We’ll begin in the Law Farm Outdoor Classroom (about 45 minutes) with an overview of pruning principles, tools, and safety considerations. Then we’ll head outside for a field demonstration and guided, hands-on practice pruning shrubs.
What to Wear
• Dress for the weather (over an hour outdoors; classroom is unheated)
• Closed-toe shoes required
What to Bring
• Eye protection
• Work gloves
(Tools will be available to borrow — no need to purchase tools for this class. We’ll discuss recommended types and features during the session.)
