Gardeners of all experience levels are encouraged to bring their questions and gather ideas for getting the most from small space gardens. Whether you’re growing in containers, raised beds or your in-ground garden simply has a small footprint, this program is for you. University of Maine Cooperative Extension horticulture professional Kate Garland will share favorite high-performing varieties, discuss soil management practices, offer trellising tips, and provide succession planting and interplanting strategies designed to maximize production in small spaces. Participants are also welcome to bring their general gardening questions.

Pre-registration is preferred. Registered participants will receive a follow-up email with relevant resources. Snow date is March 27.

If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact Jon Knepp at director@thompsonfreelibrary.org or 207.564.3350. The Thompson Free Library is located at 186 East Main Street Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. Receiving requests for accommodations at least 7 days before the program provides a reasonable amount of time to meet the request; however, all requests will be considered.
