4-H Clubs in York County
York County 4-H clubs include general clubs, school-based clubs and selective clubs (clubs with a specific focus, or example: science, art, horse, sheep, goat, beef, dairy, dog, or nature). Not all clubs are accepting new members. If you are interested in joining or want information about one of these clubs, please contact us at 207.324.2814 or 800.287.1535 (in Maine) or extension.york@maine.edu and we will connect you with a leader who can tell you more about their specific club: when and where they meet and more details about the projects they are involved in.
Beachcombers: Homeschool club that meets throughout the year at various beaches, learning about the coastal environment
Blue Potato Lobsters FTC 4-H Club: FIRST Robotics club based in Sanford; teens
Frosted Yoshies Lego League 4-H Club: Lego League Robotics club based in Sanford
Kidding Around: General club, Sanford area. Meets monthly and works on animal science, crafts, and farming.
Little Falls: General club, Lyman area
Nature Kids: General club, South Berwick area. Our club activities are based on the interests of our 4-H members. Parents are an integral part of our club; their skills and talents are utilized to lead activities on a regular basis. Activities we have participated in include: animals, arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, nature studies, public speaking, puppetry, STEM activities and more. Service Learning is a big part of our club.
Pollinator Protectors: Homeschool club, Springvale. Focuses on native pollinators and plants.
Shapleigh Four Leaf Clovers: General club, Shapleigh area
Stay Wild: Homeschool club in Waterboro area, focusing on homesteading
S.T.A.M.P.S: Science, Technology, Art, Math, and Public Speaking. Homeschool club that meets weekly at the D.A. Hurd Library in North Berwick.
York County Beef: Beef club, county-wide
York County Shepherds: Sheep & Fiber club, county-wide
