Wander and Wonder Beach: Coastal Feathered Friends

A Gathering Focused on Nature Discovering, Nature Note-booking and Nourishing Relationships 

“Never be within doors when you can rightly be without”-Charlotte Mason.

What: A small weekly outside gathering of families (parents included). Our time will start with group gatherings, poetry, and discussion.  We will do hands-on guided learning and will end with time for nature journaling.

Who: Designed for curious nature enthusiasts ages 5 to 18. Enrolled 4-Hers will be offered registration prior to the general public. Space is limited to 20 youth.

2pm June 13th @ Wells Harbor

2pm June 15th @ Wells Harbor

2pm June 20th @ Wells Beach (paid parking at end of Atlantic Ave)

2pm June 22nd @ Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge in Wells

Why: To learn, explore, connect and serve.

Supply List:

  • Picnic blanket
  • Bound or spiral bound blank notebook (preferred without lines)
  • Pencils
  • Watercolor paints and brushes and paper towels (Contact Extension Office to borrow paint set)
  • Optional: field guides, camera, swim suit, picnic dinner


Policies:
* Space is limited
* 24 hour cancellation notice whenever possible.
* Sessions are weather dependent.  Coordinators reserve the right to change the day/time in accordance with weather patterns.
